Financial Reports
2029 - 2023 Financial ReportS
Donations made in previous years are still being put to good use. In 2019, AES supported the purchase of this vehicle for Chiang Mai University Center for Elephant and Wildlife Health that acts as a Mobile Vet Clinic, allowing veterinarians to get to remote areas of Northern Thailand. This vehicle travels through rough conditions so that doctors can attend to their elephant patients. It was a critical tool during the COVID pandemic and a prime example of how we put your contributions to work for the elephants of Asia.
The “EleBus” in Sri Lanka is another example of a long-term investment paying off for the people and elephants of Asia. This bus not only serves as transport for children, to and from school, but also for many other community members needing to travel through elephant migration corridors. AES helped fund the initial purchase of the bus and in 2023 the required repairs and maintenance to keep it on the road and mitigating human-elephant conflict.
Investing in educational opportunities for mahouts and veterinarians across Asia is an important way to meet the vision of our organization to put knowledge, skills and resources in the hands of our partners in Asia. Knowledge developed at workshops, skills built with hands-on training and resources to be able to continue delivering the best care for elephants are achieved thanks to the generosity of our donors.

FUNDRAISING campaigns brought in a little over $6,000 in 2024. We did not have any single major project campaign and our Pizza for Pachyderms was the victim of the closing of many of the California Pizza Kitchen locations, themselves late victims of the pandemic’s aftermath. We continue to grow our Painting for Pachyderm (Painting with a Twist) events and to look for new fundraising opportunities. And we appreciate very much individuals or groups that have a fundraiser they would like to do on our behalf. There is still so much to be done, and we hope you will be with us again is 2025. Know you are always truly appreciated and no gift is ever taken for granted or considered too small.
DIRECTORS IN-KIND DONATIONS: AES is a totally voluntary NGO. No salaries or perks, and each director covers their own travel and any other expenses incurred in such capacity. During 2024 these expenses on the part of directors and officers exceeded $15,000.
Asian Elephant Support is committed to supporting efforts that will have a positive impact on the lives of all range state Asian elephants, whether in the wild or living under human care. Be a part of our team and stand with us as we work for the care of today’s elephants and the future of this magnificent species.
THANK YOU !
